Gillastugan

Just the place for a great weekend or summer camp.

Gillastugan is an area of natural beauty of 95.000 m2 situated next to a nature reserve only 45 km from Helsingborg.

At Gillastugan we can offer the following:

The House

A big practical house with accommodation for 50 people. On the ground floor there is a big hall with fire place, an entrance hall, a room for the leaders, a modern kitchen with an electric cooker and a large oven and also good toilets and bathrooms. 1^st floor has two dormitories with 22 mattresses in each and another room for leaders.

The Patrol Cottage

The cottage is a well-isolated wooden house with a small covered veranda. It can accommodate five to eight people. The cottage is equipped with five permanent bunk beds (and extra mattresses), cooking facilities (gas) and a stove. Outside is an elevated fire place, an wood-fired oven and an eating place.

The Campsites

On the 40.000 acres there are 9 separate campsites, placed among growth and boulders. You will always find a place that suite you.

The Shelter

Next to the campsite Blekinge there is a permanent shelter for 6 to 8 persons. The shelter has an elevated  fire place which makes it usable all year round.

The Toilet Building

Separate for boys and girls with toilets and washbasins, and 2 x 2 showers with hot and cold water.

Refrigerators and Freezers

We have refrigerators and freezers for your convenience.

Well Room

For the food that doesn't need a refrigerator we have the well room. Here is an almost constant temperature of 14° C all the year round.

Drying Room

If you have anything wet you can always light the stove in the drying room and dry your clothes.

SÖDERÅSEN

In a radiobroadcast Söderåsen has been called "Grand Canyon of Skåne".

Söderåsen is one of the ridges of Skåne. On and beside Söderåsen you can find the Nature Reserve Klåveröd with Tranerödmosse (a moor), Nackarpsdalen with Odensjön (the lake of Odin), Skäralid, Skåneleden (an 80 km hiking trail across Skåne) og Gällabjer (an old extinct volcano).

All these unique places are all located close to Gillastugan and only 2½ hours from Copenhagen.

Klåveröd

In the protected area between Kågeröd and Ljungbyhed there is a wilderness in the middle of Skåne.

A fascinating landscape with walking trails, picnic areas with fire places and in the winter small ski slopes.

Nackarpsdalen

This nature reserve is located on the NE part of Söderåsen, close to the road between Ljungbyhed and Röstånga. Here you can find Odensjön (The lake of Odin) surrounded by 30 m slopes. You are allowed to fish if you have a fishing license.

Skäralid

An area with the scenic viewpoint Kopparhatten, a ski slope and the tallest trees in Sweden.

Skåneleden "från ås till ås"

Skåneleden is a walking trail approx. 80 km. long. There are places for camping for every 10 km. The trail starts at the north end of Söderåsen in Åstorp and runs all the way to Frostavallen..

Gällabjer

An old volcano located in a nature reserve just 2 km. NE of Röstånga.

Canoeing

In Stockamöllan only 10 km from Gillastugan you can rent canoes. On Rönne å you can paddle through scenic surroundings.
